Inspired by the relationship between Naomi and Ruth in the Book of Ruth, the study asks a powerful question: What kind of woman was Naomi that Ruth chose her?
I Choose To Be A Naomi is a Bible study series that explores the role of a woman through the often-overlooked lens of motherhood-in-law, discipleship, and generational legacy.
Rooted in the story of Naomi and Ruth in the Book of Ruth, this study looks beyond Naomi’s grief and journey to ask a deeper question:
What kind of woman was Naomi that Ruth chose her?

At a moment when Ruth could have returned to her own people and begun again, she instead chose Naomi. She chose relationship. She chose legacy. She chose belonging.
I Choose To Be A Naomi explores the depth of that bond while navigating a conversation often missing within the church: How do women prepare to become mothers-in-law from a biblical perspective?

It invites women to move beyond the narratives that have historically set relationships back and instead embrace a biblical model rooted in wisdom, humility, grace, and intentional love.
Naomi becomes more than a mother-in-law; she becomes a picture of mentorship, dignity, release, and covenant relationship.
I Choose To Be A Naomi calls women to become the kind of mothers-in-law whose influence is so life-giving that daughters-in-law become daughters, homes become places of belonging, and family becomes legacy.
Because preparing the bride matters.
But preparing the woman who receives her matters too.
